Qualifications: Coaching experience

Reports to:  Principal, Athletic Director, Head Coach

Duties and Expectations:

• The Assistant Coach will be expected to exemplify high moral character, behavior and leadership, adhering to strong ethical and integrity standards.
• The Assistant Coach supports the overall operation, while working with the Head Coach, of their athletic program in accordance with Mooresville Graded School District and North Carolina state athletic rules and regulations.
• The Assistant Coach will demonstrate enthusiasm for coaching and learning, promoting the "student" above the “athlete” for all student-athletes. This includes encouraging and promoting student-athletes to continue their careers at the high school level.
• The Assistant Coach will consistently work with all school and community stakeholders to support and promote the athletic programs at their assigned location.

Evaluation and Measurement of Performance: All athletic coaches are evaluated using a district-wide evaluation tool along with formal and informal observations by the Principal and Athletic Director.
